A dear friend of the Hirshberg Foundation family, Martin continues to volunteer at the LA Cancer Challenge every year; run in the LA Marathon and fundraise thousands of dollars on the Hirshberg Training Team; and as of 2017 we’re thrilled to welcome him as a member of the staff. His enduring commitment to fight for a cure in memory of Ron Hirshberg, and his determination to never give us continues to inspire others to get involved.
Since 2009 Janet has raised over $23,000 dollars hosting theThrill in D-Ville Annual Labor Day Road Race 5k. She continues to successfully bring together a growing community of friends and family in Dawsonville, GA. for this fun event. Every year she becomes even more committed to never give up the fight against pancreatic cancer!
Pedro’s story is an inspirational one. In addition to fighting the disease himself, he offered guidance to others and shared his story. The Motonishi family created the LA Cancer Challenge team “Run for Pedro” to raise money for research and to come together as a family and show their commitment to never give up!
Barry generously gifted nearly $140,000 over 15 years through the Rochelle Lazar Memorial Research Fund. He remained a dedicated member of the Hirshberg Foundation family and we will continue to honor his legacy of compassion, genrosity and commitment to never give up!
Since 2007 the Cottonfest Bluegrass music festival, held in honor of both Cotton and Doyle, has raised thousands of dollars for pancreatic cancer research. Ronnie’s long time passion for music and his love of family has guided him to bring together his community and continue fighting on behalf of his loved ones. Ronnie and Denise will never give up the fight against pancreatic cancer!
Since 2003, when Jeremy was in the 10th grade, he’s held countless online coin auctions raising more than $85,000 dollars to date! Jeremy joined the fight against pancreatic cancer in honor of his grandfather and today those funds continue to advance research. His dedication and generosity has been unwavering, demonstrating that he will never give up until we find a cure!
