Psychosocial Care via Simms/Mann

The Hirshberg Foundation is a proud partner of the Simms Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology in their dedicated work towards pancreatic cancer initiatives. Led by director Dr. Shannon La Cava, the Simms Mann Center delivers world-class care and psychosocial services to cancer patients and their families at no cost. Our Foundation’s deep commitment to the mind-body wellness of patients is complimented by the Simms Mann Center’s efforts to offer clinical and holistic treatment.

As patients navigate a diagnosis, receiving support is pivotal to them thriving. Our partnership with Simms Mann ensures survivors and their families are informed about and can access the Center’s extensive resources. Collaborating with the Simms Mann team, the Hirshberg Foundation continues to foster our relationships with UCLA physicians and medical team members engaged in pancreatic cancer care. Clinical Director, Dr. Valentina Ogaryan, contributes her expertise to the dedicated Simms Mann team, which includes licensed psychologists and oncology social workers offering vital individual and family counseling. The Center staff also includes psychiatrists, registered dieticians, and interfaith chaplains providing psychiatric evaluation, nutritional guidance, and spiritual support.

The Simms Mann Center maintains a presence in the Agi Hirshberg Center for Pancreatic Diseases and community clinics, reaching out to patients with pancreatic cancer and ensuring they receive the necessary assistance. The holistic approach, including individual counseling, educational programming, support groups, mindfulness, and art therapy, reflects the commitment of the Simms Mann Center and the Hirshberg Foundation to enhancing the well-being of individuals facing pancreatic cancer. Through this enduring partnership, the Simms Mann Center continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by this challenging disease.
