In 1997, the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research was established and began the journey to cure pancreatic cancer. We launched with a promise that still holds true – we would be relentless and we would never give up! We built our mission around five pillars to support the pancreatic cancer community and advance research. To date, we have succeeded in accomplishing four of those five pillars, with a cure being the missing piece.
For over 25 years, the hard-fought battles of our patients, families, researchers, and medical community have brought us closer than ever to a cancer-free life. Encouraging strides have been made and we have built momentum towards our fifth and final goal – the cure. As we reflect on the past, we are focused on that mission and our motto evolves to “Never Give Up! The journey continues with an end in sight.”
Inspiring Stories
When we first set out on this extraordinary journey to fight pancreatic cancer, we made a promise that still holds true; we would be relentless and we would never give up. For over 25 years we’ve kept that promise thanks to families, friends, survivors and those whose lives have been touched by pancreatic cancer. Together, we are never giving up because finding a cure is worth fighting for!
