What your Tour de Pier ride funded in 2025

Your participation fuels research, strengthens families, and builds hope where it's needed most.

February 4, 2026

Thanks to your fundraising and generosity, our three partner charities made meaningful strides in 2025, advancing lifesaving research and delivering critical support to patients, families, and caregivers. As we gear up for another unforgettable ride, we want to share what your ride made possible.

Cancer Support Community South Bay

The mission of Cancer Support Community South Bay has been to uplift and strengthen people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities and breaking down barriers to care. Since 1987, Cancer Support Community South Bay has provided psychosocial and emotional support to over 30,000 cancer patients and their loved ones free of charge.

In 2025, thanks in part to the support of Tour de Pier, CSC South Bay served 2,301 unduplicated individuals.

CSC South Bay Highlights from 2025

  • 990 support groups were held, along with 775 Healthy Lifestyle classes, including restorative yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, sound bowl healing, and walking groups—each designed to promote healing and emotional wellness.
  • CSC South Bay delivered 215 educational workshops covering topics ranging from nutrition and relaxation techniques to caregiver support.
  • 605 no-cost counseling sessions were provided.
  • 2025 welcomed 1,296 new participants—a 17% increase from 2024.

The Uncle Kory Foundation

The Uncle Kory Foundation (UKF) is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) public charity, inspired by the life of Kory Lewis Hunter. UKF’s mission is to advance innovative and collaborative brain cancer research to specifically improve the survival rate and treatment of those diagnosed with brain cancer.

2025 Uncle Kory Foundation Highlights

As of January 2026, UKF has awarded over $4.5 million in grants to 85 projects. UKF research grants have led to over $2.5 million in additional funding from the National Institute of Health and other funding opportunities. UKF has 14 research projects currently working towards finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for adult and pediatric brain cancer.

The Hirshberg Foundation

Founded in 1997, the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing pancreatic cancer research, and providing information, resources and support to pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

2025 Hirshberg Foundation Highlights

  • Funded over $2 million in research and patient care grants across the nation with a focus on our Agi Hirshberg Center at UCLA.
  • Awarded 8 Seed Grants and celebrated 20 years of our Seed Grant Program that has funded over 140 projects to date. Launched our Catalyst Grants at UCLA and awarded 3 multi-year project grants to accelerate promising ideas and advance discoveries.
  • Expanded our patient partnerships to include A Day of Wellness for patients and caregivers, a Casual Sunday with Agi to connect survivors, and offer free blankets through our partnership with Talking Angels.
  • Our Annual Symposium helps educate over 10,000 patients & caregivers through presentations and videos.
  • Provided life-changing support services to over 250 newly diagnosed patients and survivors. Assisted over 130 low-income patients through our CancerCare partnership.

This is what happens when we ride together. Your participation fuels research, strengthens families, and builds hope where it’s needed most. Let’s keep the momentum going as we pedal together for another powerful year.
